Thank you for visiting the 2019-2020 pre-budget consultations website, and for familiarizing yourself with our confidentiality policy. We take every precaution necessary to ensure the confidentiality of personal information, in accordance with the Act respecting Access to documents held by public bodies and the Protection of personal information.

Use of cookies

Information sent automatically

When you access the http://consultations.finances.gouv.qc.ca website, information is automatically exchanged between your computer and the server which hosts the site. This information does not identify you personally; it allows transmission of files compatible with your computer system, and is used for statistical purposes.

What information gets sent:

  • your IP address (Internet Protocol), which is a number automatically assigned to your computer by your Internet Service Provider;
  • the type of browser and operating system you use to access our site;
  • the date and time you access our site;
  • the address of the pages that you visit on our site;
  • the address of the website from which you linked to ours.

Transmission of personal information

In accordance with the Act respecting Access to documents held by public bodies and the Protection of personal information, the department or body collecting personal information from you must verify whether it is necessary to collect this information (section 64), as well as identify itself and inform you (excerpt from section 65):

  • of the name and address of the public body on whose behalf the information is being collected;
  • of the purposes for which the information is collected;
  • of the categories of persons who will have access to the information;
  • of the fact that a reply is obligatory, or that it is optional;
  • of the consequences for the person concerned or, as the case may be, for the third person, in case of a refusal to reply;
  • of the rights of access and correction provided by law.

If you choose to send us personal information, by e-mail or by filling in a form on this site, we will use only whatever information we need to reply to your message. Electronic messages are subject to the same confidentiality provisions as postal mail.

Only the individuals responsible for answering and following up on your message may have access to this personal information. Personal information that is transmitted is not released to any other government body. At no time does the information collected serve to create user profiles, nor is it sent to any private body.
